USPS offers $150,000 reward after armed letterbook robber

The US Postal Service (USPS) wants to know who held up one of its letter carriers and is paying big money to find him.

On Thursday, the Postal Service announced a six-figure reward to find the person responsible for the July 12 armed robbery. He explained that the letter carrier was robbed between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m. at a Lake Worth Beach apartment complex on Via Vermilya Road across from Lantana Airport.

USPS described him as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5’3″ to 5’5″ tall and wearing a black hoodie and black and white Nike sneakers. He may have been driving a dark-colored sedan, the statement said.

Information leading to the individual’s arrest and conviction could lead to a $150,000 reward for the informant — and up to 25 years in prison for the suspect.

The Postal Service warned people not to personally try to take the man into custody. Instead, they are advised to call the USPS at 1-877-876-2455. After the call connects, just say “law enforcement” and reference case no. 4341244. The statement added that the information submitted will be kept confidential.
