Eight months after his DUI arrest, Zachery Ty Bryan faces several legal problems.

The “Home Improvement” The star was arrested by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol over the weekend for allegedly driving under the influence, according to a review of Custer County Jail records by USA TODAY. In addition to the DUI charge, Bryan did not have a valid driver’s license on his person at the time of his arrest.

Bryan, who was booked Friday morning, remains in custody at the Custer County Jail, Latasha Goodman, an administrative lieutenant with the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed to USA TODAY on Sunday. The actor’s bond for the felony DUI is set at $25,000, while he received a separate $500 charge for no driver’s license.

USA TODAY has reached out to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for more information. Representatives for Bryan were not available for comment at the time of publication.

Bryan is scheduled to appear for arraignment Monday afternoon.

In February, Bryan was arrested by the La Quinta Sheriff’s Department in California after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of being involved in a traffic collision. Police “observed signs of impairment” in the driver, Bryan, arresting him for a history of driving under the influence.

A month after the arrest, Bryan was accused of murderreceiving additional charges from a DUI conviction within the past 10 years, according to court records obtained by USA TODAY at the time. Friday’s arrest marks Bryan’s fifth DUI charge and second felony if convicted, according to Custer County Jail records.

Bryan’s new DUI arrest is the latest in a string of legal troubles for the former child star, who rose to fame playing Brad Taylor in the film Tim Allen-hosted the sitcom from 1991 to 1999.

He was previously arrested for an alleged domestic violence in 2020 and convicted on two charges before being arrested in another incident of domestic violence in July 2023. After the 2023 arrest, the Eugene Police Department in Oregon said in a statement that Bryan was booked into the Lane County Jail on a charge of fourth-degree assault after officers “received a report of a physical dispute’ between a man. and woman.

Bryan was also ordered to have “no contact with the victim without probation officer approval, treatment for alcohol/substance abuse problems at the direction of the probation officer, and no alcohol or drug use.”

Bryan’s TV dad Allen reflected on his legal troubles in a interview June 2023 with The Hollywood Reporter. “I don’t know what’s going on with him,” Allen said. “Zach is a great kid who has grown into a complex man. All you can do is step aside and let someone go through their process.”

Allen added, “At some point, he went from the guy I know to someone who reacts to situations that I have nothing to do with and that I can’t control.”
