The suspected robbers allegedly attacked the spokesperson of the Niger state command of the Nigeria Civil Defense and Security Corps, NSCDC, DSC Ibrahim Rabiu Muti in a tricycle around Gbeganu area of ​​Minna, the state capital.

It was gathered that the incident happened around 8pm when Muti was returning from work last Friday.

DAILY POST learned that the state NSCDC spokesperson was stabbed twice in the stomach.

Confirming the attack, DSC Muti revealed that about nine of the criminals attacked and stabbed Muti after two people from a nearby bush stopped the tricycle he boarded under the guise of passengers.

According to him, “They stabbed me with a knife, took my phone and other valuables. They were armed with knives, clubs, daggers and clubs. However, during their search, one of the thugs noticed my uniform pants and quickly told his colleagues that I was a soldier and they abandoned me with injuries.

” Actually, my uniform pants saved me. Other passengers had already gotten off the tricycle, I was the only one who remained with the motorcyclist when the incident occurred.

For now, the spokesperson has been discharged from the hospital and is receiving treatment at his home.
