CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The Charleston Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian Thursday night.

Officers determined the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on Seven Farms Drive near Pier View Street.

They say a pedestrian walked into the roadway on the 200 block of Seven Farms Drive and was struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian in question was transported to the hospital, where they later died from their injuries.

The driver remained at the scene, but no charges have been filed at this time.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released his identity and the Charleston Police Department is still investigating.
