Jonathan Majors no longer faces a lawsuit for assault and defamation by his ex-girlfriend

A suit against harassment and defamation Jonathan Majors from his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbariwas abandoned.

The suit was dropped Thursday, with shell Report that a joint statement announcing the end of the process was shared.

“IT IS HEREBY STATED AND AGREEED by and between Plaintiff Grace Jabbari and Defendant Jonathan Majors, through the undersigned attorneys, that all claims against Defendant in the above-named action are hereby dismissed with prejudice pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(ii), and each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys’ fees,” the statement reads, according to shell.

It is not known why Jabbari dropped the suit or if a settlement was reached. Majors and Jabbari will cover their own legal costs.

Last December, Majors was convicted of assault and harassment charges against Jabbari.

Despite the guilty verdict, Majors denied any wrongdoing; One ABC News In an interview released the following month, he said he had “never” hit a woman, adding: “I’m an athlete. I am an athlete. I know my body. I know how it moves. I know my strength or lack thereof, you know? None of this was employed on (Jabbari).”

In March, Jabbari filed a civil suit against Majors, accusing him of malicious prosecution, assault and battery during their relationship, and defamation for maintaining his innocence following conviction.

The former Marvel star has been trying to get his acting career back on track after losing out on his former role as Kang the Conqueror, which he played in Loki Season 1 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kang was poised to be the next major villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the MCU has since moved on to Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom). Majors is set to appear in a revenge thriller titled Ruthlesswhich will be directed by Martin Villeneuve, the younger brother of Dune director Denis Villeneuve.
