Maharashtra Election Result 2024: The high-stakes battle for Maharashtra’s 288 Assembly seats ended in a single-phase election on Wednesday, November 20, setting the stage for the much-awaited results on Saturday, November 23. The Election Commission of India (ECI) will begin the counting of votes. at 8 am, with results also to be declared for by-elections in 41 constituencies across 14 states.

What did the exit polls predict?

Exit polls suggest a clear lead for the ruling Mahayuti. my axis India predicts the alliance will secure 178-200 seats, comfortably beating the 145-seat majority mark. Meanwhile, MVA is expected to win 82-102 seats, in line with previous exit poll trends.

According to Matrize data, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is expected to win 150-170 seats, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance will secure 110-130 seats. Similarly, Poll Diary predicts Mahayuti alliance to win 122-186 seats, MVA likely to get 69-121 seats.

In the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly, the majority mark is 145. Chanakya Strategies also predicts a clear lead for Mahayuti, estimating 152-160 seats for the ruling alliance. Meanwhile, MVA is projected to win between 130 and 138 seats, indicating a strong showing but not enough to claim power.
