MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Bahrain has not received an invitation to become a BRICS partner state, but will continue to participate in the activities of the BRICS Plus group, the Middle Eastern country’s ambassador to Russia, Ahmed Al Saati, told TASS.

“This is an international association. An invitation should come from the organization itself. However, I have always participated; I participated in the event in Nizhny Novgorod,” he said in response to a question.

“We participate in the activities of the BRICS Plus group. We always attend all BRICS Plus meetings,” added the representative.

According to him, Bahrain will wait and see how the BRICS will develop. “It is certainly very important to work with everyone, especially China, India and Russia. They are our good friends. This is an important organization, but before we make a decision, we need to study the situation from all angles to let us know what the result will be for us”, explained the ambassador.
