Inflation wasn’t that bad and wages were up, the news media said, whether or not it was true.

More voters in 2024 said their personal finances were worse than four years earlier than he had said the same in 2008 during the Great Recession. But this did not register with political reporters. Nor did it matter to them that, for the past five years, immigrant workers invented 88% of labor force growth, 3.6 million joined the workforce, compared to only 479,000 American-born workers. CNN is re-examining its programming as its ratings have slumped, bringing interesting details about what life is like for a CNN anchor.
