Brazen behavior in court of a migrant accused of looting and exposure before Alvin Bragg Assistant District Attorney

The Venezuelan migrant accused of robbing and exposing himself to Assistant District Attorney Alvin Bragg yawned and smiled in court as he was jailed by a judge.

Brandon Simosa, 25, linked to Tren de Aragua, was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing the unnamed victim’s phone.

Police said they were able to track the device to the Row NYC Hotel migrant shelter in Midtown, where the perpetrator was found outside.

Simosa was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday and charged with first-degree sexually motivated robbery.

But he appeared nonchalant during the hearing, at one point closing his eyes and laying back languidly across the courtroom bench.

Judge Janet McDonell also pointed out that the defendant did not appear to be taking things seriously – as he was pictured rolling his eyes.

“He arrived here in New York in June and managed to get arrested seven times since June and at one point he was smiling and he’s smiling now and I saw him laughing during the proceedings,” New York Post reports the judge.

Simosa entered the yard smiling in a green jacket, jeans and black boots.

She remanded him in custody pending his trial. ICE has already filed an arrest warrant.

Simosa is accused of following the 38-year-old victim into her apartment building on 44th Street before demanding that she hand over her belongings.

The terrified lawyer handed over her phone, ID and credit cards, Deputy Prosecutor Devin Horzempa said in court.

Simosa allegedly yelled at the victim until she gave her PIN codes and “began masturbating with the victim for a period of several moments,” Horzempa said.

He then reportedly ran off and tried to use the cards at a nearby restaurant and withdraw money from an ATM.

Simosa was identified by the victim from a photo lineup.

Assistant District Attorney Joshua Larmon said the suspect bragged to officers during his arrest, saying, “I’m all over the news, I’m famous, my friends told me.”

Horzempa said Simosa confessed to the crime in custody.

The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges during a court appearance Wednesday where he was released back to the general public.

However, this was not the first time he had a brush with the law. Just last week, Simosa was picked up for grand larceny and criminal mischief in Manhattan.

Before that, sources told the Post he was arrested in Queens for a string of robberies between June and August.

Insiders also claimed that Simosa has ties to the notorious Tren de Aragua gang that terrorizes New Yorkers.

The violent Venezuelan supergang has racked up more than 500 arrests this year in New York alone as mob members commit heinous crimes across the country.

Most of the arrests were on charges of robbery and grand theft, but the gangsters’ rap sheets also include assault-rapes and carjacking, data obtained by the Post revealed.

More than half of the bookings took place in Midtown — where Simosa was arrested — with 295 busts near tourist hot spots, according to the statistics.
