Crime: Robbery

Date and time: November 18 at 6:18 p.m

Location: Hershey Harvest, 3337 Kutztown Road, Laureldale

Suspect: White male, approximately 5-foot-10, with a beer belly, dark pants, blue hoodie with white paint splotches on the front and wearing a black n95 mask. He could be between 50 and 60 years old.

Police Summary: Laureldale Police gave this account: A male entered and went to the counter where the cash register is located. The suspect in the attached photo was standing at the register counting change in his hand, then asked the clerk for a dime for the change he had. The clerk opened the register and the man tried to take money from it. The two struggled, but the clerk gave up when he thought the suspect had a gun in his hand. The suspect took a small amount of money and fled across the parking lot that spanned Elizabeth Ave. and ran down the alley between Kutztown Road and Fairfield Street. Police believe the suspect may be from Temple or elsewhere in the city of Muhlenberg, as surveillance video indicates he approached the store from that direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Alert or call Laureldale police at 610-929-8816 or 610-655-4911.
