A student was found dead on a college campus Wednesday morning.

Robert Gordon University confirmed that the body of a student was discovered at the site on the campus on Garthdee Road in Aberdeen on November 20.

RGU say they are co-operating with emergency services following the death.

An email has been sent to students attending Northeastern University detailing support services available to those affected.

A spokesperson for RGU, said: “RGU can sadly confirm that the body of a student was found on its campus this morning (Wednesday 20 November). The university liaises with emergency services and supports the student’s family as well as the entire university community.

“This is a very sad situation and our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
