Social. “We love you Laken and our hearts will always be with you.”

Representative. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called Ibarra a “monster” who was allowed into the country under the watch of the Biden-Harris administration and said the Democratic Party is “responsible” for her death.

“As a mother and lifelong Georgian, Laken’s death is deeply personal to me,” Greene wrote at X. “She would still be alive today if it weren’t for the Democrats’ open border policies. Laken was an intelligent, beautiful young woman with limitless potential. Tragically, she is not the first American life lost to illegal aliens.”

The President of the Chamber Mike Johnson (R-LA) chose to be more direct with his reaction to Ibarra’s sentencing, simply writing “justice served” on social media.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) reacted to the sentence by recalling how Pres Joe Biden apologized for referring to Ibarra as an “illegal” immigrant in his State of the Union address, claiming he “shouldn’t have used” the term and instead referred to Ibarra as an immigrant ” without documents”.

Govt. Brian Kemp (R-GA) issued its own statement on the ruling, arguing that Ibarra should have “never” been allowed to enter the country. He added, “Open border policies have failed Laken Riley,” and the safety of the country’s residents should remain “the number one priority.”
