KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man has been charged in connection with an Instagram post in which he threatened to carry out a fatal shooting.

Clay County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed Thursday, Oct. 24, indicate Kendall L. Wabnum, 21, of Kansas City, was charged with making terroristic threats in connection with an Instagram post.

Court documents indicated that on December 11, 2023, Wabnum communicated with followers threats to cause a fatal shooting. The comments were made in an attempt to scare at least 10 people.

Law enforcement officials noted that Wabnum faces a maximum of seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. He could also be fined up to $10,000.

As of Sunday, Wabnum was out of custody. A hearing was set for 9 a.m. Nov. 8. No other information has been released.
