A Bellarmine Hall student reported sexual assault by a Loyola guest Nov. 17 in Bellarmine Hall. Campus Safety announced reporting to the Loyola community November 18 at 6:20 p.m

Christian Anderson, assistant vice president of communications and director of executive communications, said the alleged offender has been identified.

“As stated in a campus alert, a student reported to the office of the dean of students that he was sexually assaulted by a non-Loyola guest in Bellarmine Hall on Nov. 17,” Anderson wrote in an email to The Phoenix. “The alleged offender has been identified and there is no ongoing threat to safety.”

The incident was not reported to the Chicago Police Department, according to a CPD spokesperson.
