Broward double gunman robs AT&T store of $15,000 worth of Apple products, deputies say

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Broward County deputies arrested two men accused of robbing a Dania Beach cell phone store over the weekend.

Williamson Cius, 29, of Hollywood, and Athanase Petit-Frere, 25, of Miramar, each face one count of armed robbery.

According to an arrest report from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the two entered the AT&T store at 2600 Griffin Road on Sunday armed with a gun and made off with more than $15,000 worth of Apple products.

Authorities said after the theft, they took off in a Lexus SUV.

Deputies said they found the men driving along Interstate 95 near Hollywood Boulevard that afternoon. The two covered the SUV’s license plate with a black cloth.

After pulling them over, deputies said they found Apple products “in plain view” in the vehicle.

Both men were being held without bond in the BSO’s main jail as of early Tuesday evening.
