Fatal victims of the Harrisburg crash have been identified

HARRISBURG, SD (Dakota News Now) – The names of the two people killed in a crash south of Harrisburg Saturday have been released.

Around 10:15 a.m., a Ford F-250 was driving south on the 115 Freeway while a Toyota Camry was traveling east on 276th Street. When the Camry entered the intersection, it collided with the Ford.

Both the 79-year-old man and 79-year-old woman in the Camry, Arnold and Rita Ardell Topf, died at the scene.

All persons involved in the accident were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information published so far is only preliminary.
