Oak Creek Daycare Employee Gets Probation; cocaine found in the boy’s system

A Oak Creek day care employee charged after cocaine was found in the system of a 1-year-old boy in May he reached a plea deal.

Prosecutors charged Passion Watson, 24, with “possession of cocaine at or near certain places”. The boy went to the kindergarten where Watson worked.

After finding nothing in the child’s home to indicate drug exposure, detectives sought out KinderCare. Prosecutors said a K-9 found cocaine in Watson’s backpack, which was in an unlocked, unzipped closet with a child’s jacket on top.

Online court records show that on Monday, Nov. 18, Watson pleaded guilty to the only charge against her. The judge hearing the case suspended her sentence — and put Watson on probation for 12 months.

As part of his sentence, Watson must have no contact with the day care facility, perform 100 hours of community service (not at a youth center) and not possess or use controlled substances without a valid prescription.
