Dahlonega man faces numerous drug charges since arrest…

A Dahlonega man is facing numerous charges after his recent arrest in Lumpkin County.

The GBI charged Tony Lamar Sullens, 59, of Dahlonega, with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance – Schedule II and possession of a controlled substance – Schedule IV on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Sullens was arrested at his Dahlonega home on a probation violation warrant. During a subsequent search of his property, law enforcement found and seized over 600 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over 80 pills of suspected hydrocodone, and over 110 pills of suspected Alprazolam.

A release from the GBI’s Appalachian Regional Office of Drug Enforcement adds that Sullens was booked into the Lumpkin County Detention Center. The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Community Supervision also participated in the investigation.
