BALTIMOREMD — A 13-year-old boy was arrested Saturday night in West Baltimore after officers seized a loaded handgun during an investigation.

The arrest occurred around 8:48 p.m. in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where Western District Task Force officers were conducting an investigation. The young man, already known to the authorities for previous arrests for robbery, was detained during the operation.

Officers confiscated a loaded firearm from the boy, who was later transported to the Juvenile Justice Unit for processing. The juvenile is now facing charges related to the handgun violation.

The juvenile had been arrested three times previously on robbery charges, according to police.

This incident underscores Baltimore law enforcement’s ongoing efforts to address gun violence and illegal firearm possession in the city.
