In a collision on the Accra-Tema expressway, the driver of a Sprinter bus with registration number GT 4867-13 died on the spot.

The unfortunate incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

The bus was on its way from Underbridge to Lapaz with passengers on board.

Ohene Amponsah was informed by one of the passengers, Louis Djamgma, that the driver lost control while trying to avoid potholes on the route.

Unfortunately, the car veered off the road, hit one of the many potholes and collided with a nearby bush.

Godwin Sarbah, the driver’s companion who experienced the collision, described hearing the screams of the passengers just before the car overturned.

According to Mr. Sarbah, his late boss was not speeding at the time of the incident, nor was the car having any technical problems. When the National Ambulance Service personnel arrived at the scene, they took the body of the deceased to the mortuary.
