The Pittsburgh Steelers offense could be bolstered with the return of the TE blocking specialist

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers The offense could get a key boost with the return of MyCole Pruitt to the lineup. Pruitt missed the team’s game on Sunday with a knee injury. In an estimated practice report released Monday, Pruitt was listed as out with a knee injury, but head coach Mike Tomlin said in his press conference that he is optimistic Pruitt can return.

Pruitt first had a knee injury against him Denver Broncos in Week 2. He missed four games initially before returning. The Steelers decided to rest him against the Ravens; however, after a setback, he did not train last week as he recovered from his injury.

For the most part, it wasn’t a tight end who ended up taking Pruitt’s snaps. Instead, the team used Ben Skowronek in that role and even saw some snaps at linebacker and H linebacker. For his role in that, Skowronek played 20 quality snaps that allowed the Steelers’ running game to get going sometimes against top defenses in the NFL.
