Sammy Hagar and his business partner, celebrity chef Guy Fieri, became victims of organized crime after two trucks carrying the pair’s $1 million worth of Santo Spirits tequila were stolen in separate heists near the Mexican border.

The trucks, which were en route from Santo Spirits’ base at the Tequila el Viejito distillery near Guadalajara, Mexico, disappeared near Laredo, Texas last week, and the cargo — 24,240 bottles of Santo Blanco and Reposado, as well as bottles of very expensive Extra Añejo – nowhere to be found.

“For a growing company like Santo, it’s really a shame to have something like this happen in the middle of our strongest year yet and right before the holidays!” says Hagar Fox News Digital.

According to the agency investigating the crime, the trucks were “illegally brokered” to another operator and their GPS trackers were faked using a GPS emulator app.

“This is the strangest thing I’ve ever seen in the spirits industry in over 25 years,” said Santo Spirits president. Dan Butkus tells People. “I’ve never seen anything like it. For two of our trucks, four days apart, to be stolen is so out of the ordinary, out of the ordinary, that we wonder why our trucks were targeted.

“I mean, one is one. But now you have to have double the number of people to pull off double the heist. It just seems much more risky to take two trucks”.

“Anyone who knows business knows that this is a huge setback for any company in a highly competitive market,” says Hagar. “But Guy and I will survive. Above all, we are glad that no one was injured during this crime.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the missing tequila should contact the Laredo Police Department, the Los Angeles Cargo Criminal Apprehension Squad or the CargoNet recovery network. Fieri is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can find the missing trucks.

In other news, Hagar announced that his The best tournament in all the worlds will be going to Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas next March. The nine-show residency runs from April 30 to May 17 and tickets are on general sale this Friday at 10:00 a.m. PCT.
