Plumbers’ union has partnered with a manufacturing firm in a deal that secretly stripped all but two workers of a say over their conditions and allowed the company to avoid new multi-employer bargaining laws of Labor.

A Fair Work Commission ruled air conditioner manufacturer Sublime’s enterprise agreement with the NSW plumbing division of the Communications Electrical and Plumbing Union it was “completely lacking in authenticity and moral authority” as it was voted by two workers, but was quickly expanded to cover 29.
