Four people died in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup truck in Madhupur in Tangail in the early hours of today (November 19).

The accident took place on the regional road in Malauri area of ​​Madhupur town, Madhupur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Emranul Kabir said.

Among the victims are the driver of the van, his assistant and their two passengers. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.

Madhupur Sub-Inspector of Police Dulal Mia said the four were killed on the spot when a Dhaka-bound Binimoy Paribahan bus from Dhanbari collided with the van coming from the opposite direction.

The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their families following legal procedures, he added.
