CLEVELAND (WJW) – A man accused of raping multiple women in Cleveland was arrested Monday, Cuyahoga County prosecutors confirmed.

A Cuyahoga County grand jury recently returned an indictment charging Michael Mann, 52, with sexually assaulting three women — ages 26, 31 and 36.

According to prosecutors, the crimes took place between May 1, 2021 and March 31, 2023.

Prosecutors say Mann, who used aliases such as “Rick,” “Rico,” “Ricardo” or “R,” allegedly messaged the women and offered them at least $2,000 to “work as a server at an event privately or at a high-stakes poker game. at a hotel in Cleveland.”

The victims traveled from various cities, including the Akron/Canton area, to meet Mann at the hotel, according to prosecutors.

When the women arrived, Mann allegedly demanded cash for a hotel room deposit and sexually assaulted them, prosecutors say.

On November 5, Mann was indicted on five counts of rape, three counts of kidnapping, one count of attempted rape and one count of aggravated sexual assault.

He will be arraigned at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center on Thursday.

“Michael Mann is a despicable individual who exploited innocent women responding to employment opportunities,” said District Attorney Michael C. O’Malley.

The Cleveland Police Department believes there may be more victims in this ongoing investigation.
