    SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands has recognized Summit County as the 2024 Cooperator of the Year for its outstanding firefighting support and prevention efforts.

    County officials played a vital role in containing several fires, including The Dikker Hill Fire and Yellow Lake Fireproviding both heavy equipment and leadership in incident command.

    The county’s contributions have extended beyond emergency response to include significant fuel reduction projects and fire prevention initiatives.

    Summit County’s support included providing bulldozers for fire containment and personnel for incident command operations.
