JACKSON, Tenn. — A woman has been taken into custody as a suspect in a recent shooting incident in the Hub City.

right Jackson Police DepartmentJurita McKinnie, 40, was arrested and charged with attempted murder by criminal negligence.

JPD says on November 7th, officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting that occurred in the area of ​​Crest Street in East Jackson.

According to police, no injuries were reported and officers found no victims or property damage at the scene.

During an investigation, police say investigators developed McKinnie as a suspect.

Information available online shows McKinnie was arrested on Nov. 15 and has since been released from the Madison County Jail on bond.
