A 20-year-old man was sentenced to five years in prison after he tried to rape a woman in a parking lot.

Police received a call just after 03:15 BST on June 22 this year from a member of the public who reported that a 20-year-old woman had been attacked in Boston and was at a McDonald’s in Queen Street .

Police attended and the victim confirmed that the incident took place in the long-stay car park on George Street.

Keith Lindop, of Station Street, Boston, pleaded guilty to one charge of attempted rape and a separate charge of actual bodily harm. He was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on November 15.
