Texas A&M vs LSU Score Updates

The Aggies kicker kicks a 26-yard field goal to keep the pressure on as Kyle Field descends into pandemonium.

The Aggies have scored four straight touchdowns since Reed was brought into the game, and as the midway point of the fourth quarter approaches, the Reed-led offense is up by double digits with a four-play, 75-yard drive, 35-23.

After three unanswered touchdowns by the Aggies, the Tigers respond with a drive of their own to cut the lead back to four. The nine-play, 78-yard drive was capped by a one-yard plunge by Nussmeier, followed by a failed two-point attempt to cut the lead to 28-23.

Three drives, three touchdowns. The introduction of Marcel Reed at quarterback completely changed the game for the Aggies. His last was from four yards out to give the Aggies a 28-17 lead.

On the final offensive possession, the Aggies put backup quarterback Marcel Reed on the first play for a touchdown. He followed with a seven-play, 60-yard drive capped by a perfect QB draw to give A&M its first lead of the game, 21-17.

All night, the Aggies struggled to find any kind of rhythm. Looking for a play to challenge them, defensive back BJ Mayes answers the call with an interception, setting up the offense at the LSU 8-yard line. The Aggies bring in backup quarterback Marcel Reed, who goes shotgun and cashes in with an 8-yard touchdown run to cut the lead to 17-14.

The Aggies struggled with penalties, committing five in the first two quarters, while the defense allowed 7.6 yards per play, with A&M trailing 17-7 after a sloppy first half.

A three-play drive is all it took for the Tigers to regain the lead at 10. Nussmeier finds receiver Aaron Anderson for 76 yards to push the lead to 17-7.

Falling behind by two possessions, A&M had to respond to keep the game from getting out of hand. A nine-play, 75-yard drive, capped by a 7-yard Moss touchdown run, is just what they needed to close the Tigers’ lead to 10-7.

Aggies running back Le’Veon Moss caught a third down check but fumbled and LSU was there to pick up the mistake. A&M added a 15-yard personal foul, setting the Tigers up at the 21. LSU capitalized on the miscue with a 2-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Nussmeier to tight end Mason Taylor to extend its lead to 10-0.

Trailing by points on each offense, including a three-and-out by the Tigers, LSU found a rhythm on its second possession. He drove eight plays and 86 yards to add three scores and take an early 3-0 lead.
