Good Morning UK viewers rage ‘shame on you!’ as he lashes out at Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley over ‘pathetic and disrespectful’ royal raid report

Good Morning Britain sparked a huge backlash on Monday after airing a segment about the recent break-in at Windsor Castle, with viewers furious they were “getting their priorities mixed up”.

Hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley started the show by discussing the top news items, including the royal raid that took place on 13 October.

The masked men scaled a 6m fence to sneak onto the estate as Prince William and Princess Kate and their children George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six, were believed to be sleeping peacefully in their cottage at only five minutes away.

The two men used a stolen lorry to break through a security gate before stealing farm vehicles and making off in a pick-up truck and quad bike which they took from a barn at Shaw Farm.

But as Susanna and Richard discussed the burglary on the ITV show, viewers blasted them as “disrespectful” for spending so much time on the subject when ordinary people are often robbed and ignored, saying “good come into our world”.

They took to social media to say, “See how you’re getting your priorities mixed up? Shouldn’t potential WW3 be at the top of the list?

“My neighbors house was broken into last month and personal items and a car stolen, it’s harder when there aren’t enough police to go around isn’t it. Let me know if you want to come with your cameras and do an interview and I’ll give them the details.

“It seems that you are very willing to report all kinds of things about the royal family, but only if it is positive; I wonder how many ordinary people have been broken into, robbed, cheated in the same night.

“Maybe now they’ll realize what we other plebeians are dealing with!” Welcome to the real world; A lot of people have broken homes. We were broken into 3 times.

— Anyone else would have received a crime number; Another royal tidbit to try and get people going, still waiting for you to mention the C4 Dispatches investigation though.

“I can’t believe that a burglary at a farm that happened 3 weeks ago is the main story about Biden’s actions that could start another world war? The farm is quite far from the royal lodge and they were not targeted. Farms get robbed all the time, but no police!

3 weeks ago! Ffs can’t be that important if you’re just reporting it; We don’t want to hear about privileged people. Welcome to the real world.

“The rest of us don’t get help from the police for theft, so why should it be in a farm out in the country. Did the royal family not want to be part of British life?

“So what about all the other people who had their property broken into? How dare you make this big news when people can’t even get a police investigation, talk about disrespect for others, shame on you @GMB’.

A source said Sun. the masked thieves must have been “watching Windsor Castle for some time”.

they said: “There are alarms at Windsor Castle, but the first time anyone knew there had been a break-in was when they crashed through the security barrier at the Shaw Farm Gate exit.

“It was a Sunday evening in a school week, so the young princess and the princess would have been tucked up in bed at Adelaide Cottage, just around the corner but still on the grounds.
