Three people died in different road accidents in Meru, Busia and Kilifi counties.

In Meru, a motor vehicle was involved in an accident along the Kina-Garbatula road in the Albert Meru area on November 15, 2024.

The driver was carrying two passengers.

A police report indicates the vehicle had a left rear tire blowout while rounding a corner and rolled twice on the road, landing on its right side.

As a result of the accident, the driver suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot.

The other two passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Garbatula sub-county hospital for medical attention.

The body of the deceased was taken to the Nyambene Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The multi-vehicle was towed to the police station where it is awaiting inspection.

In Busia county, the accident occurred on Saturday along the Bumala-Port Victoria road in the Mundere area.

The accident involved an unregistered motorcycle traveling from Nambengele towards the general direction of Port Victoria.

In the process, he had a head-on collision with an oncoming motorcycle carrying two passengers.

Due to the impact of the accident, a rider suffered serious head injuries and died from the sport.

The other rider, along with his two passengers, suffered head injuries and were rushed to Port Victoria Sub-County Hospital for medical treatment.

The body of the deceased was moved to the same mortuary unit, pending an autopsy.

The two motorcycles were towed to the police station for checking.

In Kilifi, the accident happened on Saturday along Kilifi-Malindi road in Mkoroshoni area.

According to the police report, a vehicle was traveling from Malindi to Kilifi when it collided with an unknown motorcycle carrying a passenger.

As a result of the accident, the rider suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot.

The passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to Kilifi County Hospital for treatment.

The body of the deceased was taken to the same mortuary unit for post-mortem.

The motorcycle was taken from the scene by unknown persons, the police are still looking for it.
