A South Bend police officer was arrested following an off-duty incident early Sunday morning.

Officer David Finn, 35, was arrested after South Bend police were alerted to a potential domestic disturbance involving one of their own. Following an investigation, Finn was charged with felony domestic assault and is currently being held at the St. Louis County Jail. Joseph.

The department has relieved Finn of all police duties while the criminal and internal investigations are conducted.

Finn, who joined the force in July 2022, was already on restricted duty due to a separate investigation related to another off-duty matter.

Authorities have not released further details about the ongoing cases.
