NATO has denounced Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, in which civilians have been killed and terrorized.

Details: The NATO spokesman emphasized that these attacks targeted critical energy infrastructure in Ukraine.

The alliance stands with Ukraine and its members will continue to help strengthen Ukraine’s defensive capabilities, the spokesman said.

NATO also tried to reassure its member states. In Poland, an alliance member state bordering Ukraine, fighter jets were scrambled as a precaution during the attack, which included strikes on the Polish border city of Lviv.

The alliance has strengthened its air and missile defense systems because of the Russian war. The spokesperson explained that the Alliance will continue to evaluate its deployment to ensure the security of all its members: “We will continue to evaluate our deployment and ensure the protection of all Allied partners.”

• In the early hours of November 17, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Ukraine’s energy sector using 210 missiles and drones, of which 144 were intercepted.
