Four accused of stealing copper from Jackson business

JACKSON, Miss (WJTV) – Three men and a woman were arrested after Jackson police say they stole copper from a business.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of Metro Center Drive on Thursday, November 14th. They received a description of the suspects and their vehicle. Detective Tommie Brown said the suspects were arrested on the upper level loading dock.

According to Brown, William Floyd, John Henry, Rachel Stepp and Zackery Williams forced their way into the building on the lower level of the Burlington store. He said the vehicle used in the crime was a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado that had a switched tag.

Police said they found weapons, burglary tools and copper wire inside the suspects’ vehicle. The suspects will face the following charges:

  • William Floyd – Burglary of Business, Possession of Burglary Tools and Felony Firearm Conviction

  • John Henry – Burglary of a business, possession of burglary tools, felony firearm conviction and two active warrants for burglary of a business

  • Rachel Stepp – Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools and Convicted Firearm Felony

  • Zackery Williams – Business burglary and possession of burglary tools
