SF. LOUIS – A 17-year-old was charged as a juvenile on Friday in connection with the death of another teenager outside a gas station in St. Louis earlier this month.

The Metropolitan Police Department of St. Louis has not released the identity of the 17-year-old, but says charges of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed criminal action, first-degree tampering and unlawful use of a weapon have been filed. at the juvenile court.

The victim, identified by the police in St. Louis as Jamar Hamilton, 15, of St. Louis, was fatally shot overnight Nov. 12 in the 8800 block of North Broadway in the St. Louis Baden.

Hamilton was found dead around 1:40 a.m. outside a gas station with gunshot wounds. Investigators say he was with a group of people who exchanged gunfire with the occupants of another vehicle.

The 17-year-old who was charged Friday was arrested Nov. 12 in connection with an unrelated incident, according to St. Louis.
