MINNEAPOLIS – Leading cybersecurity experts will gather this week for a three-day summit in the Twin Cities, just days before the 2024 presidential election.

For its 14th year, the Cyber ​​Security Summit will highlight research, achievements and innovation in online protection.

The event attracts experts from both the private and public sectors.

“Cybersecurity affects everyone,” said Elizabeth Stevens, the event’s director of communications. “This is something that’s just going to be essential.”

Over 1,000 participants will take place in workshops throughout the week. For board member Mark Ritchie, the event couldn’t come at a better time.

“These cyber questions are serious,” he said.

Ritchie, the former Minnesota secretary of state, said the office has done and continues to do everything it can to keep elections safe.

“That’s how we keep the confidence — and I hope Minnesota will always put those two things together,” he said. “We have the most efficient, professional, skilled, trained and qualified people on our team protecting our elections.
