Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Tried to Bring Witnesses Out of Prison During Sex-Trafficking Trial: Documents

Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly tried to blackmail victims and potential witnesses and “corruptly influence” public opinion while behind bars while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, according to court documents filed Friday and obtained by Fox News Digital.

The rap mogul, 55, has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Broolyn since he was arrested in September on charges of racketeering, forced sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

“Since defendant was detained at MDC, he has continued to attempt to evade law enforcement surveillance, corruptly influence witness testimony, and further attack the integrity of these proceedings,” prosecutors charged.

Manhattan prosecutors asked a judge to dismiss Combs’ last bail applicationas two other judges concluded that he was a danger to the community.

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has attempted to reach out to potential witnesses and “corruptly influence” public opinion behind bars for his upcoming sex-trafficking trial.

Prosecutors said a review of recorded jail calls by Combs showed he asked family members to reach out to potential victims and witnesses and urged them to create “narratives” to sway the jury. In addition, prosecutors alleged that Combs encouraged marketing strategies to sway public opinion.

“The defendant has repeatedly demonstrated — even while in custody — that he will flagrantly and repeatedly break the rules to improperly affect the outcome of his case. In other words, the defendant has shown that he cannot be trusted to follow the rules or conditions,” the prosecutors stated in the partially redacted papers.

Prosecutors alleged that Combs’ goal was to “blackmail victims and witnesses either into silence or into providing testimony helpful to his defense.”

In court documents, prosecutors alleged that Combs’ goal was to “blackmail victims and witnesses either into silence or into providing testimony helpful to his defense.”

The disgraced music mogul also allegedly broke prison rules by instructing his callers, including family members and lawyers, to “add other people through three-way calls”.

“Also, this practice is not authorized by the BOP (Federal Bureau of Prisons) because it helps conceal the identities of those contacted,” the court filing states.

“The defendant’s repeated circumvention of BOP regulations — beginning almost immediately after arriving at MDC — speaks volumes about his ability to comply with any conditions of release.”

Combs filed a new bail application last week, arguing that changed circumstances, along with new evidence, warranted allowing him to prepare for his trial outside jail.

On Nov. 8, Combs’ attorneys filed the motion in federal court in Manhattan, where his previous requests for bail have been denied by two judges since his September arrest.
