MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE

Madison County, Tenn. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been actively investigating a number of car break-ins in the area of ​​Browns Church Road over the past few weeks.

On the evening of November 15th, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person and possible car break-in in the Beech Bluff community. That response led to the apprehension of a suspect.

The suspect, identified as a 19-year-old black male who lives in Jackson, Tennessee, was arrested for carjacking. More details about the individual will be released after formal charges are filed.

Based on current information, authorities believe the individual acted alone. However, if new evidence or additional suspects emerge, updated information will be provided to the public.

Sheriff Wiser said: “We want to reassure the community that we are actively addressing this issue.

If you experience any suspicious activity or become the victim of a similar incident, please contact 911 immediately.”
