Bhopal: Thieves targeted an auto decoration shop in Rewa, not only stealing goods but also taking a CCTV digital video recorder (DVR) to protect their identity.
the burglary took place at Naved Siddiquihis Transport Nagar shop during the night from Friday to Saturday.
According to Civil Lines police, the thieves accessed the store using ropes to climb onto the roof, where they entered and made off with several items, including the DVR that recorded footage from the store’s security cameras.
A case was registered and the police started a thorough investigation. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the culprits.
Sources said the retailer installed the CCTV for security reasons and monitored his store through a mobile app. On Saturday morning, when he opened the app, he noticed that the cameras were offline, which made him suspicious.
He immediately sent an employee to check the store, where the theft was confirmed.
