LIMA, November 16. /TASS/. Leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) adopted three documents after the Lima summit, Peru’s President Dina Boluarte said.

“I am sure that these documents, which we have just adopted, contribute to the strengthening of our forum,” she said at the closing event of the summit.

According to the president, three documents were put to the vote: the declaration of the APEC leaders, the Lima Roadmap for promoting the transition to the formal and global economy and the Ichma Declaration on a new perspective for the promotion of the Asia-Pacific free trade area.

Boluarte also handed over the APEC chairmanship to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador-at-Large Marat Berdyev said the APEC summit statement was negotiated and contained no artificially politicized narrative.

The APEC leaders’ meeting took place in Lima, Peru, on November 15-16. The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.
