Hyderabad’s Kalapathar police have arrested a man involved in a burglary that was reported in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

Officers seized the stolen gold ornaments along with the auto rickshaw used in the crime.

Police said Mohammed Noorullah Hussain, 25, broke into a residence in Chandulal Baradari. “According to the complaint filed on Thursday, the theft took place sometime after she and her family were asleep. On awakening, they found three almirahs broken and jewellery, cash and a mobile phone missing,” the police said.

A case was registered and Noorullah Hussain was arrested on Friday. During interrogation, Hussain allegedly confessed to the murder. The investigation also revealed that Hussain was earlier involved in similar cases of housebreaking registered in Attapur and Mailardevpally police stations.
