Yes, the rapper and entrepreneur formerly known as Kanye Westwas sued by another former employee.

In a Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit obtained Friday by USA TODAY, Murphy Aficionado accuses Ye of creating a hostile work environment, alleging discrimination, retaliation, labor code violations, unpaid wages and wrongful termination. Ye’s company, Yeezy, and his private school, which he is said to have closed Donda Academy were also listed as defendants in the case.

Aficionado claims Ye’s “anti-Semitic tirades and conspiracies were a daily occurrence” at work, and claims the rapper retaliated against him for refusing to start construction on the Donda Academy due to a lack of permits.

William Reed, one of Aficionado’s attorneys, said in a statement to USA TODAY: “Consistent with what the public has come to expect from Ye (f/k/a Kanye West), as this lawsuit shows, his vitriol, hatred, and antisemitism continues, as does his complete and utter disrespect for the women around him.

“By launching this lawsuit, we aim to vindicate our client’s rights and force Ye to learn that this conduct has no place in our society. We look forward to Mr. Aficionado’s day in court.”

USA TODAY has reached out to Ye’s representatives for comment.

A former employee claims Ye made anti-Semitic remarks about Jews controlling Kim Kardashian

The enthusiast says he was a project manager who worked on Ye’s various construction projects for about nine months, starting on October 26, 2022. He claims he was not paid during that time, although he was promised a salary of $125 per hour.

Some of the incidents Aficionado alleged occurred during his employment included Ye wearing a shirt with a swastika on it. He allegedly asked, “Don’t you like my shirt?” and made disparaging remarks about Jews controlling his ex-wife Kim Kardashian — statements that echo popular anti-Semitic talking points about Jews controlling the entertainment and media industries.

He also claims the musician insisted on staying in a hotel room and listening to him engage in sexual activity next door on two occasions. The enthusiast’s discrimination claims include Ye allegedly telling him that traditional Filipino tattoos were ugly and should be removed.

One of Aficionado’s attorneys in the case, Carney R. Shegerian, also represents Trevor Phillips, who filed a lawsuit in April accusing Ye of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.

According to his complaint, Phillips allegedly worked for Yeezy and Donda Academy for nine months and was targeted by Ye after “pushing back against Kanye’s bigotry and instructions to break the law.”

Phillips claimed she saw Kanye “spew hate, profess anti-Semitic tropes and lies, threaten the LGBTQ+ community and even, on one occasion, almost sexually stimulate himself,” according to the suit.

Ye’s statements cost him more brand partnershipsincluding Adidas, which ended his collaboration with Yeezy. After years of legal wrangling over the move, the sportswear brand and Ye reportedly reported arrived at a non-monetary settlement in October.
