A Bio marine for Wallace it reflects a service career that included time stationed at Cherry Point Air Station.

A Highway Patrol investigation found the couple’s Jeep Wrangler was southbound on Willie Hatcher Road when it failed to yield to a semi truck carrying chickens going westbound on Ludie Brown Road.

Police say the Jeep was hit by the semi truck, which overturned, went off the road to the left and came to rest partially off the road.

Police say Wallace and Castro died at the scene.
