West Fargo woman arrested on drug charges after trying to run from police – InForum

WEST FARGO – For the second time in 24 hours, West Fargo police used patrol vehicles to stop a fleeing driver who was later arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

According to a statement from West Fargo Police, officers responded to a disturbance near the intersection of Seventh Avenue East and Ninth Street East around 11:20 pm on Thursday, November 14th.

There, officers found Heather Peck, 43, of West Fargo, outside of her vehicle, which she had parked in the path of oncoming traffic. When officers arrived, Peck got back into her vehicle and fled west on 13th Avenue East. In the 200 block of 13th Avenue West, officers used a pursuit intervention technique, using a patrol vehicle to collide with the fleeing vehicle and suddenly turn it sideways.

Peck was arrested for felony reckless endangerment, felony hit and run in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of meth paraphernalia, possession of meth and reckless driving. Additional charges are possible, police said.

West Fargo police arrested Austin Michael Muck, of Fargo, in the 2000 block of Sheyenne Street after he used a PIT around 1 a.m. Thursday.

Muck also faces charges of hit and run and possession of methamphetamine.

Our newsroom occasionally reports articles under a “staff” moniker. Often the designation “staff” is used when rewriting basic news that comes from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and that requires little or no reporting. Sometimes this description is used when a story includes multiple authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If external sources are used, they are noted in the story.
