MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – An armed robbery took place at the Valero on 9th Street and 45th Avenue around 9:00 PM Thursday night.

Acting Captain Dareall Thompson says one person is in custody after a brief foot chase.

MPD believes they also recovered the gun that was used in the armed robbery, in addition to other evidence.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money.
