On Tuesday, Nov. 12 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Burke County Sheriff’s Office investigators say they executed a search warrant in the 200 block of McCoy Church Road as part of an ongoing sexual assault investigation.

The search and investigation led to the arrest of Tommy Lynn Gilliam, 55, and Amanda Charlene Wilkes, 43, at the residence, according to deputies.

This investigation was initiated following allegations of sexual assault of a minor at the residence, authorities say.

During the investigation, investigators identified and later arrested Mark Aaron Snell, 55, of the 1800 block of Creek Road, for his involvement in the incident, according to authorities.

All three suspects were booked into the Burke County Detention Center.

Additional charges may occur as this remains an active and ongoing investigation. Due to the sensitive nature of this case and to protect the victim’s identity, no additional details regarding the juvenile’s age or identity will be released at this time, according to the sheriff.
