Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• Derrick Lamont Sloan, 48, was arrested Nov. 12 and charged with contributing to the neglect of a minor.

• Donna Rita Lemire, 50, was arrested Nov. 12 and charged with theft.

• Cassandra Denise Bennett, 48, was arrested Nov. 12 and charged with habitual criminal mischief.

• Steven Dean Christensen, 55, was arrested Nov. 12 and charged with sex offense violation: failure to report change of address.

• Ronald Owen Powers Jr., 39, was arrested Nov. 12 and charged with two counts of drug trafficking, two counts of trafficking in heroin or opium, two counts of maintaining of a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substances, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with intent to manufacture, two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon convicted, two counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute.

• Early Pant, 43, was arrested Nov. 12 and charged with drug trafficking, trafficking in heroin or opium, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute, possession of a Schedule VI substance with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
