IRVING, Texas – 58-year-old Mike Tyson looked at 27-year-old Jake Paul Irving on Wednesday night before the highly anticipated boxing match between the two.

Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, and Paul, a social media star turned boxer, will fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Friday night fight at his house Dallas Cowboys will be broadcast on Netflix.

The fight is long gone.

It was originally scheduled for July, but had to be postponed after Tyson had a medical emergency.

The fighter was treated for a stomach ulcer and cleared to fight, according to Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.

The state of Texas has agreed to sanction the fight that other states will not.

The bout will be eight rounds instead of 10 or 12, with two-minute innings instead of three and heavier gloves designed to reduce the power of punches.

Iron Mike was a man of few words at the Toyota Music Factory event on Wednesday night.

“I can’t wait to fight,” Tyson said.

Paul wore diamond-studded ear muffs, excoriating the former heavyweight about his infamous incident with Evander Holyfield in 1997.

“I’m not afraid of anybody, so I want it to be that wild old Mike,” Paul said.

Tyson was 50-6 with 44 knockouts in professional fights before retiring 19 years ago. Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition four years ago that ended in a draw.

Paul is 10-1 with 7 KOs in his time as a boxer.

The social media star says his jump from YouTube to the ring has reinvigorated boxing.

“I’ve brought a lot of excitement to the sport, knocking people out on the biggest platforms possible, going up against the biggest names,” Paul said.

Tyson didn’t say much during the press conference, but he did make a prediction.

“I’m not going to lose,” Tyson told the crowd.

Paul is the betting favorite in the fight, according to sportsbook BetMGM.
