A Rock Bridge High School graduate who worked for the Golden State Police Department in Colorado was killed in the line of duty last week, the Columbia Police Department he said on his social media on Thursday.

Officer Evan Alexander Dunn was killed in a crash on Nov. 6, according to KMGH in Denver. Columbia police wrote that Dunn graduated from Rock Bridge in 2010 before graduating from Columbia College in 2015. He was employed as 2^when A lieutenant in the Missouri Army National Guard, he commanded missions as an Army aviator and flew Black Hawk helicopters, the post said.

He and his wife moved to the Denver area in 2021, where he served as a captain in the Colorado National Guard, the post said. He graduated from the police academy and became an officer this year. His obituary says a private service will be held, but a celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date in Columbia.
