FANNIN COUNTY, Texas (KXII) – One person is dead after a crash in Fannin County Thursday morning.

According to Lt. Frank Deater of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Hwy 56 near FM 87 west of Bonham.

Officials said five people were sent to the hospital, four were airlifted.

The crash is under investigation, but officials at the scene said it appears a vehicle crossed the center line.

Highway 56 is still closed at this time.
